2017 Year In Review - Daniel K. Photography | Raleigh Wedding Photographer

All I can say is WOW! What a year what a year what a YEAR! 2017...the best so far for Daniel K. Photography! 

So. Many. Photos. This is the third time I've put together this post and the number of memories captured by my camera is remarkable. Not 10,000. Not 20,000. Not 50,000....but over 83,000 photos in 2017. 

Let that sink in. 83,000. That's a photo every TEN MINUTES for a whole YEAR. Insanity, I tell you. 

It wasn't easy to narrow down these photos into one post to reflect my favorites, but it allowed me to look back at all the great memories, events, and experiences of the past 12 months. So many amazing clients. So many amazing people. I'm so excited to share some of them with you below: 

To my couples: I was absolutely spoiled by you this year. You were some of the most sweet, incredibly fun, down to earth clients ever! Capturing and preserving these emotional filled memories for you is a truly special. Seriously, thank you for helping me to live my dream while making your day last forever through my photography! 

To the professionals I worked with: Thank you to all that whom recommended me to your friends and clients. Your support, encouragement, and camaraderie made it awesome to work with you! 

To my family & friends: Thanks for always believing in me and making me believe I can accomplish anything! My business would not be where it is without your love and encouragement!

2017, you were awesome! 2018, I am looking  forward to making you an even more exciting year! I'm so excited to work with some more amazing couples (and eat some of your delicious wedding cake). The future is bright!

Raleigh Engagement Photos at Fred Fletcher Park | Haley & Ernesto

These two were the absolute sweetest! Back in April I got to hang out and spend a perfect spring day at Fred Fletcher Park in Raleigh, taking engagement photos for these two adorable college sweethearts! One of my favorite things about being an engagement / wedding photographer, is getting to hear how each couple got to know each other. Haley & Ernesto’s engagement story didn’t disappoint one bit! 

Their story started when Haley was required to attend a public speaking event for upperclassmen who had recently completed their internships. Ernesto just happened to be that first speaker at that event. And from Haley’s own words - “I kid you not, I actually started blushing when he stood up in front of the room. He was the most beautiful human being that I had ever seen. I wanted to get to know him so badly that when I ran into him with one of our mutual friends, I randomly decided to say I was throwing a game night in my dorm that weekend and invited him. I didn't even have any games! That weekend he showed up for my impromptu "party," and I realized he was as kind as he was beautiful. It didn't take long for me to know he was the one."

I am so excited for October this year! I'll be photographing their wedding in Charlotte! It’s going to be a day filled of so much love & laughter! 

By the way! If you are planning a spring engagement session in North Carolina, I highly recommend taking your pictures at Fred Fletcher Park in Raleigh, NC. That time of year the weather is perfect and the park was gorgeously vibrant with so many beautiful spring flowers!
